We have a lovely courtyard garden, which is a real sun trap and is ideal for eating breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.

The cottage is only 10 minutes’ walk from the beach and 5 minutes from excellent birdwatching areas within a popular conservation area, including the marshes and Sturt Pond, where there is a hide.

Hello, we're Jane and Stephen, owners of Plover Cottage, a charming two-bedroom retreat in the heart of Milford On Sea that was awarded a Gold Award by Quality in Tourism in 2016.

We were also voted Most Dog-Friendly Self-Catering Cottage in the New Forest in 2018.

​

The cottage has two double bedrooms and a shower room on the first floor and a kitchen, living room and dining area downstairs.

A few things to note

  • During your stay, you are welcome to bring one large dog or two small. To ensure the comfort of all our guests, we kindly ask that your pets refrain from going upstairs or onto the sofas.

  • Please note that our staircase might be a bit steep due to the age of our property, which could be challenging for people with mobility issues.

  • To maintain a smoke-free environment for everyone, we kindly request that guests do not smoke or vape or charge their vapers.

  • We don't allow blow-up mattresses.

  • Please also note that we do not have electric car charging facilities yet​

  • We require a 25% deposit upon booking, with the remainder due no less than six weeks before your stay. If you book less than six weeks before your stay, full payment will be due immediately.
